Having worked in pubs, I was horrified to be charged $6.60 for a pint of soda water from your bar-mix. Declined said purchase. Dropped into another pub on that day, asked for a glass of soda water from their bar-mix, No Charge and a shocked look from the bar staff when informed of the cost of said water with bubbles from Mundaring Weir Hotel. Not impressed.....its a blatant rip-off. Do better. Remember I said that I have worked in pubs, I know what a bar-mix does and how it works.

Terrible food and service. Food overcooked, burnt and very old salad. Waited a long time only to find out that pager was faulty. The bar woman knew about our standing order and faulty pager but didn't advise us that food was ready even as she cleared a table next to us. We should have asked for our money back.

Good cold beer and nice service. I ordered a chicken burger, the only downside being that you had to collect your own food and the burger buns were burnt even though it wasn't particularly busy. Had a good play area for kids but could do with throwing away old balls and getting some new ones. Overall, a pretty good experience.

Stayed the night - old school welcome and easy check in. Room was clean and exactly what you expect from an older establishment. Bed was so comfortable and shower pressure and temperature spot on. Only niggle is no socket near bed and pub opening times.

Stopped in for lunch today while out for a ride. We were greeted with a friendly hello and found a table out in the smoking area which is large and very non offensive and had a large mist spray fan keeping us cool.
We ordered a Steak Sanga, a fish burger, fish n chips and the Calamari.
All were reasonably standard prices. Drinks were lovely and cold. It didn’t take long for the buzzer to let us know to come and collect the meals.
The Calamari was perfectly cooked and delicious. Fish n chips was a large portion but a little dry but still nice, chips were perfect. Both came with a delicious slaw and assortment of sauces. The steak sanga was delicious and came with chips as did the fish burger. We did ask for an egg to be added to the fish burger but was told no as they were too busy. This was puzzling as the place was quiet. That’s the only criticism though. The old hotel is quite interesting and the grounds are nice.
We will definitely return as there is a comfortable atmosphere and a warm feeling given from this great old pub.

Took some friends up to see the band comfortably numb last night. Was told we couldn't take a bottle of water in at the gate and so had to buy some..3 small bottles of coles brand water was $15 . The bar had no jugs of water available. Won't be going back

Food was very expensive and very average for what was recieved. Toddler had fun with the scooters & balls laying around however the place has a very weird abandoned look & feel to it.

My partner had an issue with her steak but the manager/owner was happy to fix the issue! It's a great venue, would be amazing if the food was a bit nicer. Great for a beer
