The marvellous Murdoch University!!! Where it all began, my mind opened as well as my heart. I began to see the world differently, have more understanding of culture & others. I became more progressive in my thinking about the world around us and how Australian academics can be the forces of improvement and change for our planet in all fields of study through commitment, determination and collaboration. Through my studies so far - The School of education has been amazing from my interactions with the beautiful Dr. Jane Merewether with her expertise in developing skills of togetherness, creativity & sharing through stories, the highly adaptable, progressive academic Kylie Ridder who strives for all students to succeed in assessment, to the Dr. Sian Chapman who pushes confrontation in areas of social justice & reform, the expressive and talented Dr. Amanda Woods-McConney who takes you on an adventure through her passionate love of teaching the Sciences, the soon to be Dr. Of Education - Felicity Baker with her desire to inspire education students in the classroom to be expressive, dedicate, love what we are doing and enjoy the experience & Dr. Sandra Hesterman, the well put together lady of Early Childhood Education with her inspiring academic papers of integration through children's voice.
Today though, my experience was second to none when arriving at campus. Claire greeted me at student services where she was able to usher and direct appropriately my needs all whilst doing it with a smile plus giving knowledge of campus & international options to venture into, Charity was cheerful and put me at ease as I sat down to discuss my issues to direct me to the best able problem solver, which I was then delivered to the strategic Hannah who was able to think extremely logically keeping me in high hopes. Fiona was fantastic with her speed and efficiency with my Student ID needs and finally I would highly recommend going to visit Kylie in the Murdoch Campus library where she showed compassion and lent her time to hear my issues and logically stepped me through processes to get a resolution. Thank you again Team Murdoch 💪🏼👩🏼‍🎓

One of the best university in WA. Very great atmosphere and friendly staff, affordable courses l. The newly upgraded Boola Katatjin is awesome with best facilities for educational purposes. Lots of activities for students to do for free gym to basketball to E-gaming.

Fabulous Infrastructure with beautiful nature. Latest technology devices. Great teaching skills. Lots of activities. Highly qualified teachers and management. Overall good for international students who want to pursuing there studies here.

It is one of the best universities with lots of food options and good facilities. There is also a piano that anyone can play that is decorated with Indigenous artworks.

Have always loved the bush setting as it is conducive to studying and learning, as well as respecting our natural environment. It’s Chinese garden is also carefully cultivated and maintained.

Located within one kilometre from Kwinana Freeway via South Street. It was an open day and we walked around the Campus. It is huge. Lots of parking 🅿️ areas. Loved the atmosphere

I'm completing a degree in Chiropractic and it is horrible.

The lecture material is by far the worst. Learning objectives that help you learn? Nope.

Do they help you study and prepare for the exam? Hell no!

Do they hinder your every step, to make you feel lost and guess what you need to take into the exam, failing you on an epic proportion to be ready and confident? HELL YES!

This place is a living nightmare, I cannot describe in words how much stress this place has caused myself and many of my friends here doing this degree.

The lectures are garbage, think power point slides and the teacher just reading off of them for hours on end. This along with the lack of divided knowledge into what needs to be known and what is supporting information, there is nothing dividing these at all, it is just bunched all together.

So that combined with the weekly learning objectives being non specific you are going through constantly saying and asking yourself, is this important? Is this? Oh maybe this?

So when you make notes, you may as well just take a copy of the lecture slides, because apparently occurring to lecturer, EVERY single thing you could be examined on.

So by the end of the semester, that is 800 pages. And of those, any word, diagram and sentence, because again, no other direction is given.

So people end up just trying to memorize (which is an impossible feat) 800 pages worth of information or guess what they would be examined upon, because again, there is no other direction or way to do it.

And YOU (or I) am paying for this garbage? How did Murdoch even become accredited?!?!?!?

It is VERY obvious and unfortunately other students from other years have told me this, that there is an agenda to fail students and have them repeat because of multiple reasons.

1) Failing students pay twice (or more times) to pass, Murdoch simply gets more revenue. And Murdoch's vice chancellor gets more money than other universities that even have more students (so already questionable tactics here).

2) Failing the average white male to seem more in line with gender and racial fairness.

When in practice all number 2 does is pass females and minorities because the industry lacks them so Murdoch brags they are helping, whilst unfairly failing people that do not deserve it.

Equal opportunity should be a place in every aspect of life and Murdoch doing it this way is pure discrimination.

3) Protects clinic numbers.

Because the clinic can only obtain a number of places each year, Murdoch already has a reason to fail x amount of students if the class sizes are too big.

They don't restrict class sizes, only the hurdle to get into clinic, again failing the extras.

Students have overheard teachers talking about who they are going to "cull" and it is again typically the white male that bears the brunt of this.

4) If you need proof look at the media.

Murdoch has reached the news for already doing all this to a number of Chinese students (and are still doing it) who cannot even speak English at all!

Somehow these people cannot speak a word of English, rely completely on their phones translators and are enrolled in a University Degree that requires a high degree of English proficiency?

The news caught onto this and of course Murdoch denies it, yet I have neighbours down the street enrolled at Murdoch and cannot speak a word of English, so it is still happening.

So in conclusion, until all this changes (which will not be anytime soon) do NOT enroll at Murdoch University.
