Phoned ahead at about 1530 in the afternoon to ask if the kitchen was opening as we were travelling through Narembeen. The staff member said "sorry sir the kitchen is closed" but then asked "what were you after?"...I said "Im after late lunch or early dinner, whatever I can get as we haven’t eaten since breakfast". He responded "no problem please come in and we can make something for you". So we rolled up only a few minutes later and were greeted by the friendly owners as we walked through the door. He promptly showed us a 'specials' menu and said we could have anything from that. Well we ordered the 'beef cheeks' and WOW they were fantastic!! The taste and quality along with friendly service here far surpassed my expectations. So appreciative of them opening the kitchen for us. Do yourself a favour and stop in at the Narembeen Hotel for a cold beer and awesome meal if you get the chance. The new owners are a lovely helpful couple and he is a great chef.

Had a great meal at this pub. The new owner's give the personal touch with a cheery hello and if not a busy time, will have a good conversation with traveler's.

We stopped in to grab dessert after doing the Wadderin Wildlife Sanctuary Tour. Unfortunately the kitchen had already closed for the evening. But they were so lovely they made my son a Sundae to go- and it was delicious! Super grateful for the kitchen staff for going the extra effort.
We were served by Hannah in the bar- what a spectacular human!! She was just super helpful, lovely and super cool style. My son said of her as we were driving back home; "You know the more I think about her, the more I love her whole vibe!" Totally agree!
