My wife and I required overnight accommodation in Narembeen. Having seen how limited accommodation was and read previous trip advisor notes I was unsure what to expect. I must say I was pleasantly surprised. We booked over the phone a week before and nothing could be simpler. On the day we visited the Roadhouse to pick up the keys, another simple task, pay for the room and receive directions to the motel. I would agree with previous comments and despite the directions given still found it hard to find. Itโ€™s not sign posted or numbered and doesnโ€™t look like a motel. Look for a sign on the buildings wall that says Tamlin. Good luck if you arrive after sunset. The room, en-suite and facilities are more than satisfactory. Itโ€™s clean and spacious. All your kitchen needs are there and ideal for an overnighter. The TVs worked well, as did the a/c. Plenty of parking.

The motel looks a bit bleak from the outside, and that's looking at the good front rooms. Going around the back we got a real shock seeing three old battered dongas. The front brick units Nos 1, 2 and 3 looked pretty good (we peeked through the window) and have a lovely native garden, but I would avoid Nos 4, 5 and 6 if possible. No garden for us. Once inside the rooms, they were fine - clean and well decorated. However, our microwave was very greasy and splattered on the inside. The sheets were very nice and the beds comfortable. There is a noise issue between the rooms. My mother was in the room next door and we could talk to her without raising our voices. There was no sound-proofing at all. Fine for a family member but I would hate to be next to a stranger. I sound gloomy about them, but that is mostly from our first impression, which was terrible! Inside they are perfectly ok. Just try and get Nos 1, 2 or 3.

From the weathered brick exterior you could be excused for thinking it was the run of a mill dated country motel, but growing up in the country i know not to judge before you look. The building was originally erected in 1975 for maybe part of a nursing home as per the plaque outside. Wonderfully renovated and cosy, better than a place i had recently stayed in Perth. Bathroom needs a little TLC but all round happy and a goods nights rest. Keys collected from Roadhouse

I travel to Narembeen once a month for work and sometimes stay overnight. the first time around, I arrived and was told my room was not ready as a worker had not removed their personal belongings and there was nothing they could do. Also, I was apparently too early as check-in was at 4 pm. In the end, they placed me in a different little granny flat type accommodation and that was fine. I then had to email several times to get an invoice but just could never receive one, I had to complete extra paperwork(stat dec, email) to get this cost approved. It was very inconvenient.||I decided to give them another go and stayed about a couple of months later. I got in just before 4 to pick up my keys at the pub, I was still a bit early but I would say the manager was kind enough to ring the cleaner-who did not answer- to find the keys. apparently, they had another customer who did not check out. After a few times trying to reach the cleaner, he sent me around to the room. once I got there, without an apology and acting as if it was my fault for being there, a very rude person(the cleaner) told me that I could not have the room until 5 pm, to go to the pub or the coop to have a coffee. I was 6 months pregnant at the time and could not do either of the things she mentioned. I had been driving all day and I just wanted to kickback. The booking was made at least a week in advance and even though on the day they had someone who refused to check out, they still could have done better. First, they(the cleaner) could have cleaned the room as soon as they can. Second, if that was not possible, they could have apologised and explained everything calmly and treated me as a customer rather than take their anger on me because of the previous client who did not check out. So I went back to complain and was told "we will talk to her, but there is nothing we can do about the room". I had already paid, could not go somewhere else and had to sit in the car waiting for the room. They know that there is no nearby accommodation so I could not go anywhere anyway. It is probably not a big deal for them if they lose a monthly booking. But I will not be booking there again.

Only motel in the town and was not sure what we would be in for, as we had to pick the keys up at the roadhouse when arriving at Narembeen. Not really a problem as I fuelled up while there. There were 3 brick motel rooms which were well layer out, comfortable and quiet. There 4 more rooms or as someone else called "Dongas" out the back, I guess. Would alright but not sure. No meals or shop close by only back at the roadhouse. Kitchen facilities were good.

Comfortable bed, soft towels and lovely warm shower was a welcome end to long travel day. Picked up key from roadhouse and was hard to find motel as no visible signs or lighting. TV didnโ€™t work despite our best efforts!

If you ever have to stay overnight in Narembeen, the motel is the best place in town. As far as I can make out, the only alternative is to sleep on the roadside. The motel looks pretty rough on the outside but the rooms, at least the one we stayed in, was not bad at all. Not very big, but certainly adequate for a night. ||||We looked for the reception office but could not find it. It turns out that you have to go to the roadhouse. I'm not sure why this was not explained in prior communications.||||What else can I tell you? We stayed in Narembeen because it was conveniently spaced geographically between two overnight stops. My best advice would be to revise your itinerary. Try Bruce Rock instead; it is quite close and looks nice.

We arrived in Narembeen after 7 pm and was very difficult to find this place which has no sign or light. We finally got the keys and the indication to get there thanks to the kind girl in the Roadhouse. Unfortunately the room they gave us was terrible, very dirty and stinky. The bathroom hadn't be cleaned up, the linen were stained and there was dust everywhere. Television didn't work. A bad experience which wasn't worth the 125 we paid!!!
