I attended 2 sessions of "know your camera" with Garry in September. I found both sessions easy to follow, as Garry made a complex subject simple to understand. The handouts were very useful. I learnt functionality of what was achievable with my camera. Each member of our small group had a different camera and Garry conveyed instructions specific to our cameras. 2 months have gone, and I have retained what I learnt, which I'm confidently applying. How happy I am to be able to book 2 sessions of Know Your Camera with Garry. As a complete newbie he has explained the basics very well, and I feel more confident using manual mode. Sessions were in a small, relaxed group and Garry spent time explaining all our questions without rushing us. Highly recommended!

I had a private “Know your camera” lesson with Garry and can not recommend him enough!

His knowledge and explanation in accessible language exceeded my expectations.
Moreover, only two days have passed since the lesson and I have already taken really nice photos that I am happy with.
I am also not “scared” of my camera anymore, as I really was before Garry’s lesson.

Did a photography workshop with Gary and thoroughly enjoyed it and attained some very useful tips .
Gary has a unique way of teaching and goes into details of each function of the Camera .
Gary has good energy and is very easy to connect with. He goes over things again if you want him to repeat the steps .
I would recommend him to anybody . Especially beginners like me.

Really excellent small group lessons. Garry took us from Auto through P, A, S and to Manual mode, making sure each person knew how to make adjustments on their own camera. We did before/after shots to better understand the difference our settings can make. Doing the course over two sessions, at central Perth locations, meant that participants could practise between sessions, and any questions we had were addressed the second week. Garry also gave us notes at each session as well as reiterating concepts all the way through. I have a much greater understanding of how to get the best out of my camera. Thanks, Garry!
