What an amazing coastal dining experience! This place is so cute and artsy. I was just wanting a quick wine and I looked at the lunch menu. The manchego and leek croquettes intrigued me so I couldn’t help myself. I was in a bit of a rush so I got the order to go. They served them as a stack of 6 pieces with shredded romesco cheese on top and the side.

Okaaaaay they were really goooood. I ate one on my way out and nom nom nom!

It is a cute restaurant with nice indoor and outdoor seating. It is located across from Leighton Beach and some coastal apartments. Great location. Very clean and fancy comfortable seating. Lots of neat artwork on the walls. There is a small art gift store as you enter. There is also a little cafe counter before you are seated.

They have a full service bar. The lunch menu is meant for sharing, small plates. Mostly around $20-38 each. I really liked the vibe of this place and it is a shame I did not have time to enjoy a full meal. Will definitely come back again.

Awesome location but can be hectic with parking around the area. Went for lunch and was greeted to a table - service was good. We ordered the vodka chicken sandwich which was only okay. Yummy chicken patty but vodka sauce was a little bland. Pricier for lunch but understandable given the location. Visited for the pretty drinks and did not disappoint- very pretty as pictured (matcha strawberry). Drink is 6/10 - could use more matcha and fresh strawberries but could be a personal preference. Worth a visit on a beautiful day.

I quite enjoyed the cauliflower, especially with the 🌾buckwheat which added a delightful nutty🥜 crunch! It was well seasoned and spiced with notes of vinegar, ginger and sesame.
The Beetroot dish was very subtle flavour wise with no component being particularly prominent.
Croquettes were scalding hot, super light to eat and insanely melty inside!
I think the salad🥗 could have used some quinoa or chicken🍗 to back it up a little.

Looks are deceiving! Lovely looking food but quality not so pretty. Got the steak sandwich and the steak sadly was chewy and fatty. The pistachio matcha latte was ok - it looks soo nice but not enough matcha and no flavour whatsoever. We saw this place on instagram and excited to try it but it’s v average! The location and views are nice though

Such a lovely spot for breakfast. We celebrated my friends birthday and the staff were so accomodating (they even found candles for us to use for our cake!!!) and the food was delicious! Highly recommend.

Amazing. Hands down best meal I’ve had in a long time. Could not fault any dish. The burrata was delicious. The beetroot my favourite. I could have licked the plate clean. We shared several dishes and the staff were very friendly answering questions about what could be shared easily and accurate about portions. The best strawberry matcha I’ve had in Perth. And don’t get me started on the summer fresh pavlova dessert that I’ll see again tonight in my dreams. And the croquettes….. yummm. 11/10. Highly recommend. (I think only criticism was it’d be great to get food in stages as we got it all at once but that’s being nitpicky.)

The food was amazing! Definitely recommend the turkish eggs, they were the best I've ever had. I also got the ricotta hotcakes, which were also nice. I had the strawberry matcha, which was very nice! The strawberry flavour is very strong though and I couldn't taste much of the matcha. So if people don't like how bitter matcha is, then you'll like this strawberry one! The cafe is right next to the beach, so it's just a lovely place to go for breakfast! I've heard their lunch menu is also amazing, so I'll definitely be back to try that!

Perth go-to cafe

Possibly one of the most unique experiences I have had at a cafe before. I have heard great praise about Palette, specifically for it’s iced matchas and superb food. If you are a matcha-holic like me, I would say Palette is well worth the hype.
Not only is it an exquisite looking beach-side cafe, the atmosphere brings you in. Wait while you are seated at a perfectly made table with complimentary water. I must say, if it wasn’t for our misfortune of coming when a fire alarm was on, I believe the experience of going to Palette would have been quite soothing. Nevertheless, the menu has a huge variety of delicious sounding foods, despite us only getting a croissant and calling it a day. I cannot wait to come back and try the rest of the food. We also had greater misfortune to learn that around 11:30, they stop making breakfast which, was what we had originally come for. Due to the far alarm going off during those last few minutes after 11, we unluckily missed breakfast. We eventually landed on the pistachio croissant which was filled like a dubai chocolate bar, a crunchy pistachio filling topped with chocolate crumbs and pistachio cream, it truly was a pistachio lovers dream croissant.
The matcha though, to die for. We decided to try both the pistachio and strawberry matchas, of which were so flavourful and packed with texture. The pistachio matcha, tasted more like pistachio than matcha however that is not necessarily a bad thing, sprinkled with pistachio crumbs and a rim of pistachio. The strawberry matcha, filled with strawberry syrup and covered with strawberry foam was a beautiful combination of sweet and bitterness, the strawberry complimenting the matcha perfectly. Those matchas were well worth the wait.
Overall, the experience of going here was splendid. The staff were so welcoming, it was a beautiful looking cafe, and (despite the fire alarm going off) the atmosphere was lively and vibrant.
I cannot wait to return to Palette, next time to conquer the breakfast menu. Thank you again Palette!
