Who would have thought the tastiest home-made pies would have come from our local butcher – Perrys Quality Meats on Welwyn Avenue in Manning?

Many times I have served up Perry’s Lamb & Rosemary, Beef & Guiness or, our favourite, Chicken & Leek pie and the comments from friends and family have always been the same: ‘Where did you buy these from?’

These tasty treats have all the hall-marks of what makes a good pie: good quality meat, a rich sauce and lovely pastry. Why would you not serve them time and time again?

For those communities who have a local butcher then please treasure them.
To have a choice of quality cuts, marinated, crumbed, rolled, or diced, prepared for you and free cooking advice to boot, tells me that Mark and his staff will make sure that you won’t be disappointed.
