Great selection of drinks at Philter Brewing. Your regular sort of pub food, the pizzas and wings are great! Hanged out upstairs at the sports bar as a big group. It looked better than the downstairs as well as its also brighter.

“Late night Pizza” is misleading. Kitchen was closed at 10pm but apart from that, the beer was cold and delicious.

For a food perspective just ok - drinks are decent.
We got two half kilos of wings, a pizza and a schooner of beer for ~64.
Saw people rating the wings very highly but personally wasn’t a fan. A bit bland and the texture was a bit funny - I think they may have been boiled then finished after? But they boiled them for too long.
The “hot” OG is certainly spicy, so take care when ordering.

Pumpking pizza: 5/7 was actually quite good, very well cooked pumpkin. Good balance of toppings to base.

Lively brewery on Sydenham Road (a short walk from the Metro) serving a great selection of beers and classic pub food. The empanadas, cauliflower bites, fish tacos and the pizzas (Margherita, meat lovers and crude) were delicious.

We hired the rooftop bar (‘Marrickville Springs’) for a birthday party.

Thanks to the brilliant Philter staff, planning the event could not have been easier. And the staff on the night were super helpful and friendly.

We had a great time and our guests loved the cool venue! Thank you!

Had my bday there on the 1st February, staff were fantastic …extremely helpful, polite and genuinely happy to help… the venue is great 😊 everyone who came said they would be back again
