Went here for the second time to celebrate my brother's birthday because our first time here was just outstanding, and for our second time, it did not disappoint.

Note that the buffet/unlimited bbq is $108 per head and includes non-alcoholic drinks. The wagyu beef was amazing, we kept on ordering them! We recommend ordering 2 servings at a time for the meat, so there's plenty to cook (for a company of 3 people) in between serves.

Also recommend the sushi and prawn tempura.

The service was friendly, helpful, and quick. We went on a Sunday night, and it was pretty quiet.

Will definitely go again!

The meat quality is good, however paying for a buffet for 60 Mins and only getting what you ordered for every 20 mins is kinda not worth especially when you advertise at $100pp. By the time the actual meat and food comes out you’re already filled up on the “unlimited drinks they provide” My family and I sat through small servings every 15-20 mins hungry and waiting for the next serving to come.

Had a good experience here. All the food was in stock and the staff were really friendly. Everything was very tasty and all the food was brought out to us quickly for us to bbq. The beef marinade was very tasty and my personal favourite as well as the pork belly. All sides and salads were quickly refilled when we requested them. The only gripe was that the charcoal BBQ lost heat fairly quickly and had to be changed and the 90 minute time limit was enforced even with the restaurant fairly quiet.

I wished I had read the reviews before making a haste decision and going to this restaurant. We got sick after eating at this place with stomach flu. If I ate any more, I would expect to be on the IV fluid. Ordered only 5 dishes, so I believe I have escaped death. There goes my weekend trying to recover. Over priced for the quality and quantity for this local area. I do not recommend it.

The service can be slow and inattentive, however food is quite decent (but it is on the pricier end).

If you like meat, I personally would recommend ordering the Wagyu short ribs, oyster blade and inside skirt (they were very tender and juicy). Out of the three cuts, the inside skirt was the best. I also had the fried oyster blades and salmon avocado salad.

Too pricey for the quality.
There’s a big difference between low-end fatty meat and high-grade marbling wagyu.
I wouldn’t recommend any of the dishes I ordered today to anyone.
DO drive out to a proper Japanese BBQ restaurant in Burwood or city.
This was a waste. Will never come back.
Thank you.

Food is great however the service is terrible. We didn't get everything we ordered despite ordering prior to our seating time ending. For the price you pay per person, it's not worth it.

I must admit my first experiences of Ryoma were not that great due to their customer service and portion sizes during buffet. However, since my return I always go with the al la carte menu as it’s ALWAYS cheaper and I’m still extremely full afterwards (I usually go in groups of about 4+ though). What they lack in customer service they make up for in quality and taste of the food. I enjoyed every dish that we ordered and must recommend the short rib, buttered corn and salmon dishes. If you’re a fan of oysters definitely get them too! Also they’re usually busy around dinner time so I’d recommend you make a booking.
