Dinner with a friend for a special occasion and this place made sure it felt that way. We were seated quickly in the dining area, but there is a more casual garden area out the back with wind protection and a few tables out the front on the pavement.

We ordered the steak platter, spicy mushroom, broccoli I and grilled octopus and it all tasted deliciously. This place isn't cheap but the food is worth it. Octopus dish was a little on the small side but overall it was a wonderful experience and I'd definitely recommend this one. Service was great and personable too.

Try the white chocolate ganashe, it was amazing.

We had a great night here eating exciting food with great flavours. Of note, we had bursting with flavour tender Rib Fingers, and tasty Pork Belly that cut through like butter with crisp cracking. There's plenty to try on the menu and dishes are innovative to keep it interesting.

Service is also great with some very friendly staff.

Bring cash to avoid the card surcharge.

Came here with high expectations and tempted by the collectors edition plus matched steak but this was a disaster

We had lovely starters - ribs / prawns / mushrooms and pork belly were amazing.

But the main dishes. Oh dear.

Duck was great

The 200g steak was fatty, chewy and crap

The whiskey measures were tiny.

$380 for a total of 10ml in each glass this was not worth it.

There was not enough whiskey for the meat, which arrived cold and wrong they did do another grass fed but it was extremely fatty.

I can’t see how you could enjoy the whiskey with the meat as there was only enough for a bite of the meat?

I feed this back and was told this was due to RSA, but 10mls? Your kidding.

The whiskey + meat was $470 and at that volume and price this felt like robbery.

I collect and purchase rare and unique whiskey, I know the price point of what I was consuming.

Overall the other dishes are better stay away from the whiskey and steak at the current price point, it’s a ripoff.

Beautiful place. Food was amazing, wine was great, ambience was also very nice. I’m so impressed, it’s been so hard to find a restaurant like this and it was so lovely! Our waiter Finn was the best: polite, helpful and friendly. We’ll definitely be back 🥰

This is the first time three of us (two adults, one pre-teen) visited Samson’s Paddock and what a delightful experience it was. We shared entrees of the wagyu rib fingers, spiced cauliflower, and the pork belly; all three dishes were stunningly presented and tasted amazing. Kudos to the chefs who also elevated the simple cauliflower into such a remarkably flavourful dish! For mains, one adult & the pre-teen ordered the steak, which was cooked to perfection and tasted great, and the other adult ordered the duck breast which was simply divine. For dessert we had 2x strawberry millefeuille and a vanilla rosemary tart; all desserts were great and the perfect way to end a fantastic dinner.

Highly recommend dining at Samson’s Paddock.

Comfortable, low key ambience and yummy food. My only query was why so many of the dishes had a tomato base especially the seafood, which is nicer with light citrus flavours in my opinion. Otherwise definitely worth a look and next time I'd try their sirloin tasting board, which smelt amazing!

Went to Samsons paddock with my Partner who equally loved good meat and whisky, we share the sourdough, Beetroot salad and Meat Platter, all meals were extremely fresh, cooked to perfection and the whisky pairing was amazing, meals were fairly normal pricing for a premium dining experience, would certainly recommend to others and dine again soon. Wait staff were pleasant and enjoyed a laugh too. The Old fashioned was certainly a nice treat also. Great experience thanks.

Great vibe at this bar and restaurant. I love the different, cosy spots to sit in at this delightful venue. Very comfortable, small dining room. Consistently interesting menu. Good selection of wine, whisky .... Friendly and helpful staff.
