5 starts for the beautiful landscape and supporting an indigenous business, however the stuff don’t give you any opportunity to get the hang of the bike at all.

They seemed to be doing a lot of tours though out the day so don’t really focus on everyone enjoying themselves. I bought individual tickets for my partner and I for his birthday to ride on separate bikes as i assumed we would be close to each other and I’d be able to control my speed a bit. They gave us an option of going on hills with the majority of the group or going very slow with the people on double bikes and children. I chose to be with the majority as I wanted to get my moneys worth and though I could handle it. For whenever reason I was at the end of the line away from my partner but I was alright with that as we were in the same group.

The person in front of me was slowing down so I made sure to leave a 10 meter gap like they insisted several times at the beginning . However the moment I was slowing down to leave enough of the 10 meter gap, they separated me from my boyfriend, took me aside and made me ride very slowly at the back of the other group of people, with the people that chose to drive slow. I didn’t even get a signal from anyone I was going too slow which they had also mentioned they would do at the beginning. So unfortunately it made my experience a bit disappointing and not as fun as what my partner experienced. I personally didn’t feel like my money was worth it but my partner has a good experience.

If you want to get the opportunity to do it with friends or a partner together and give yourself time to get the hang of it. I’d recommend renting bike’s privately for a longer time and investing more money so you can have that kind of experience.

If the situation I experienced was a parent and a child I could see someone getting very angry over what I experienced.

What an awesome experience. The folks who run this are amazing. No need to be apprehensive as the guys take you through all the procedures and guide you all the way. Amazing views as you ride the dunes. You also get to see ancient Aboriginal midden sites and other natural attractions. 100% recommend this for an amazing time with friends or corporates etc.

Loved my hour with SDAs! Such a cool and different thing to do. After 5 mins, we had the option to choose fast or medium group, I chose fast and really enjoyed the rush of going down the steep sand dunes and speeding along the safari. The views of the dunes are spectacular. The price is good and moore affordable that other providers. The staff were kind and fit me in (despite being full) as I was on my own and the guys made a point of chatting to me at the stop point. It's only a 7 min drive from the checkin point to the start point which is accessible for 2WD cars.

Was a super fun and adrenaline filled experience. We were towards the front of the group and averaged around 50 km/hr. Fastest we hit on the way back was 60 km/hr. Beautiful views and a good chat with one of the tour guides at our stop. Definitely a must do when in Nelson Bay area. Will be back next time we are in the area.
