Sealy Posturepedic Cornell Plush

Paid nearly 6 grand for this mattress to have to pleasure of feeling like ive been kicked in the ribs and spine every night. Called up to be told that it will “wear in, give it a few months”. Six months later, i wake up and feel like ive been the victim of a home invasion by youths with bats. If I could give this “plush” lump of concrete negative stars, i would.

Save your money and sleep on the floor.

After hearing the advertising of the comfort of Sealy of Australia and their guarantee of warranty on their mattress, I decided to purchase a Sealy mattress from Domayne Bedding Auburn.
But it was a disappointing chose to buy or support. The mattress came with no tag of serial number, and after three months of use the mattress started to sink in that caused discomfort and pain.
As I addressed the issue with Sealy of Australia Knowing their mattress are guarantee of warranty of 10 years. I have contacted their customer care by email and phone but they didn’t commit to their warranty of 10 years to their customers. And of their home visit inspection of the mattress was very disappointing due to have failed to clearly witness and see the sink whole while with a physical weight on the mattress.
Sealy of Australia final email was not to replace the mattress with a new one nor fully refund due to The Australian Consumer Law but they want to charge customers more money for adjustment.
Sealy of Australia has an incredible fails advertisement and fails guarantee of warranty of 10 years. I ask the public to be aware of fails advertisements and not to support a company that dose not commit to their warranty. Sealy of Australia have charged me over $2000 for a faulty mattress.

I have been given the run around and ignored. Its all lip service and now it's been a month after paying several thousand dollars for an upgrade! They will take the new unsuitable mattress I bought but am waiting for the new one. Too long, I never thought it could be so miserable sleeping on this far too firm bed. NO... I am not going to get use to it! If I was in JAIL yes I would get use to it, but I am free, paying top dollar for the name so live up to the reputation.
Look guys IF you are going to buy A Sealy... be careful what you choose take your time, because you will go through hell if you make a simple mistake!
There are other brands out there now that give you every chance... Give them a chance you will be treated better.
...Sealy is not the company it was when I bought my first mattress in the late 1990s ... there are plenty of brand out there doing as good even much much better.
Try Sealy last!
Shame on you Sealy

Matress topper replaced after big impressions was great from Sealy. However when they took our matress it was damaged by incompetence from the removal team who jarred matress on stairwell post in our house. This lead to a series of unbelievable results.

This damaged the spring system (one spring out of 100s was catching on a tag) which lead to spring popping during the night. So no sleep for a month or so.

Sealy took matress back (this time no further damage coming down staircase). Instead of cutting off 1 tag and revealing matress and returning they decided to go OTT (commando style).

They sprayed INOX, a lubricant similar to WD40 used for mechanical industrial uses like cars, boats, engines onto the entire spring unit (just in case, to ensure no more popping noises at night) without consulting us.

Inox is not recommended to be used in mattresses especially as a spray due to

1) health issues related to the spray seepage into matress

2) fabric damage caused by spay leaking into fabric causing foam amd materials to degrade prematurely

A check on internet reveals Inox not suitable for matresses due to health risks and fabric damage. The fact they never asked us if we were ok with this is outrageous.

Furthermore they cut off 100s of tags from all springs and left a number of tags as waste in the base. This was evident when moving the matress. You can literally hear the tags roll from 1 side to the other.

Instead of fixing the main issue and returning it, they have returned a toxic matress and said oh well if you want the waste removed we will take it back for a 3rd time and bad luck with the Inox as they don’t think it’s an issue. Our enquiries on Inox are that it’s inappropriate to use on mattresses as humans sleep on them creating a health risk over time.

Simply asked for a replacement due to waste left in matress, damage caused by sealy, and time we have wasted, loss of sleep from.damage, . No not happening.

This kind of lubricant is designed for industrial and consumer applications like automotive, marine, and food-grade environments, and not specifically tested for or recommended for use on bedding or similar products.

Well, let’s see what ACCC and Fair Trade have to say.

We bought a new Sealy mattress after many years on an old two-sided one (remember those?) also a Sealy. Both very comfortable. I have noticed with the new one being only one-sided these days that they are very difficult to tuck sheets in underneath so that they stay in place. There’s a hard ridge on the edges underneath so when you tuck the sheet in your hand gets caught and as you pull it out the sheet comes too and your hand is almost mangled getting it out from underneath. This is the only fault with these new one-sided mattresses. I must stress that it isn’t only a Sealy brand which has this problem. All one-sided mattresses have this problem. It needs to be addressed!

Purchased a $1,000 mattress from David Jones during the COVID period and was advised that if it was not suitable we could exchange it via Sealy.

Long story short, I had to deliver my mattress many months later, due to my living circumstances, and upon receiving it, it looked very jiggly an extra soft.

I contacted both David Jones and Sealy and the communication has been awful on both. David Jones is telling me that I need to take the matter with Sealy and Sealy is telling me to take the matter with David Jones. As soon as I sat on it, I could feel my body sink into the springs and I weigh less than 50kg.

I asked them if they could exchange it for a slightly firmer mattress because it looked very thin and cheap for the price that I paid and I knew it would cause me back pain. I never asked for a refund, and I even asked them to pay a little extra if it meant a better quality mattress. Sealy asked to have someone come and check it for faults but I cannot see a physical fault because it’s sealed in the packet still so that would be a waste of time.

I informed them as soon as he got delivered, that the mattress does not look suitable so I do not understand why this company will not exchange it. I previously had a cheap mattress for 15 years that was way better than this.

Please save yourself some time and get a cheaper mattress, because the one I had worth $400 looked much thicker and of better quality overall. It was also at the same firmness as the one I have from Sealy.

Will not shop again from Sealy as they do not have the customer’s best interests what, they are just looking to take people’s money.

Sleeping on Sealy Posturepedic mattress caused my girlfriend severe neck and back pain as their mattress developed a significant dent in the middle. Despite seeking warranty assistance, the company presented various excuses to rejectany warranty claim. Their warranty seems deceptive, more of a ploy to attract customers. I won't consider purchasing from them and couldn't recommend to others based on this experience.

Bought a Sealy mattress queen size with 10 year warranty, it’s been 5 years since I have had it. I got in touch with Sealy and they made so difficult to even have someone to look at it I had to go and buy another one with no satisfactory solution from them. Terrible communication from customer service. They didn’t want to help at all. They told me to have the mattress professionaly cleaned and email the receipt to them before they would do anything. The mattress was dented and good for nothing. I do not recommend. They do not value their customers.
