It all started during mid 2022 when I finally received my new 79 dual cab cruiser and went about getting the tray and canopy installed.
I had gone with a company from the south coast to build my tray and canopy but to cut a long story short this was a very disappointing experience and as a result I lost all interest my 79 and was looking at what I could do to change the situation.
Some days later I had a chance encounter with 3 of Shannon’s Engineering builds in my home town.
I was able to have a good look over these 3 build and witness for myself the quality that is Shannon’s Engineering.
From that moment on I was hooked and set about contacting Shannon and went over what I was looking for and with his knowledge and experience he was able make suggestions that would improve my build.
His communication was outstanding as he directed me towards his website, Instagram and YouTube this gave me a real life look at what I was getting and made decisions much easier.
During the build Shannon kept me updated with regular emails and phone calls along with albums sent via Dropbox.
I most certainly gave Shannon and his team many challenges as I kept adding items after certain stages had been completed which further complicated their work.
But as the professional Shannon and his team are they went about producing a superb result.
I relied on Shannon’s experience with the 79 platform to guide me to improve a number of aspects with the 79 that fall short as a standard vehicle.
To mention one, is the upgrade that was carried out to the brakes with all new rotors, braided brake lines and new hydraulic booster all this then certified by a mechanical engineer to meet compliance.

All Shannon’s emails, quotes and invoices were all very clear and easy to understand and never included any unwanted surprise's.
Shannon along with his team was always friendly and would constantly answer all of my questions in a friendly manner.
Upon handover Shannon takes the time to walk you through your build explaining all the care and operations of your build and then presents you with a well documented folder supporting his handover.
I would like to thank Shannon and his team for a superb job that has exceeded my expectations and has put the passion back into my enjoyment of the 79.

I bought my 79series in 2022 & left it in the garage until I found the right fabricator to build my tray. Shannon’s engineering was my choice & for good reason. Shannon lives & breathes his products & it was most certainly worth the wait. Shannon’s attention to detail & the quality of the build is second to none.
