Just went in for a casual brunch experience and I am devastated by the service they offer. I ordered the lasagna and was served with absolute atrocity. Nowhere in the menu they mention that it’s a “white sauce lasagna” which I am not even sure is a real thing. I was served with burnt cheese, white sauce lasagna that tasted just bad. I took the first bite and couldn’t eat past that. Do not even know why was a salad served with it but okay I do not mind.

I approached the people and they said they wouldn’t do a refund cause “they don’t make anything in here, it all comes from the Shingle Inn Bakery”. I was left with no food to eat because I wouldn’t trust them with any other dishes too and a total rip off of close to 20$ of my money, and unfathomable service. Expected better from them.

Would recommend you to think twice about getting food from there.

Pathetic coffee...

Decaf doesn't mean that it should not taste like a coffee...

The coffee tasted like milk. They changed it but still tasted the same.

A lot of milk and nothing.

Better say that you have a bad decaf coffee...

Not that ohh ! It's decaf!!!

Yes... It's decaf like how zillions of people are selling decaf coffee in Australia.... And it doesn't taste like milk with coffee flavor.

It tastes like coffee.

Buy a better coffee beans and not give an excuse as a server that Oh it's a decaf!

Food wasn't bad, but definitely don't get much at all for what you pay... Never knew chips were so expensive or that milkshakes couldn't be filled to the top...

My friend's vanilla milkshake was off. We both tasted it and staff were happy to replace with a new one made with a freshly opened container of milk.

All staff were pleasant and happy to help.

After reading some of the other reviews here I am a bit surprised by the blunt responses to criticism from ' Louise' whoever she is.
Hopefully I won't get a reply like that!

I’m still shocked at spending over $15 on a sandwich which would’ve been $5 at the supermarket. The chicken was that fatty processed stuff not fresh. The bread was just Tip Top white. The side salad was clearly a few days old. Also the cream and ice cream sides for a tiny citron tart were not complimentary but $1.50 - each. Over $34 for 2 coffees and that above.
Shingle Inn was a brand which meant exceptional quality and service. The service was ok but the quality (relative to value for money) has me fuming. Disgraceful. Fool me once..

We ordered a hot and cold coffee. BOTH BURNT! Also ordered a ham and cheese croissant but I don't understand how this can taste bad too? Part of the ham was still cold and it seriously tasted like they're serving us someone's forgotten lunch found in the bottom of the backpack after weeks.
We couldn't finish eating the food even when we're hungry. Went for hungry jacks afterwards and it was amazing comparing to this.

Service: rude
Cleanliness: your sofa area smells foul

Ordered an eggs Benedict dish . Eggs were undercooked and bread under the eggs didn’t have the right texture or flavour . Very disappointed . The coffee was ok .

large portion sizes, very reasonable priced.
The avo on toast was fresh and spread just right, not over thick or sparse.
chai was the best I have had in ages.
overall a fantastic experience
