Old school butcher shop with friendly helpful butchers. The showcases are full of quality meat. Locally produced pasture grazed beef and with a choice of different breeds of cattle at various times, coming from the butchers' own farms. These guys actually break down whole carcasses, unlike most butcher shops that buy in cryovacced whole cuts. This means that their meat tastes different. Just like it used to. It also means you can get things like rolled roasts, almost as scarce as hen's teeth these days. They also make their own small goods including cabanas and bacon. You actually get crackle when this bacon is cooked. Both of which are seriously the best I've ever eaten, and I've eaten a lot of these things from many many different places. At the moment they have pasture raised Mallanganee wagyu and it looks sensational. Prices are similar to supermarket prices, and in some cases cheaper, but the quality of the meat here is head and shoulders above supermarket fare. Like em on Facebook and you'll be kept up to date with their specials. They may be old school butchers but they've embraced technology to their advantage.

Best premium beef mince possibly on the north coast . Homemade kabana and Devon cannot be beaten also . Having to live on a tight budget I find this butchery the best tasting value for money. Their premium beef rissoles and ready to cook stir fry meals take all the hassle and work out of making meals myself, which is great for single people and families. The staff are very happy people who will take all the time necessary to give you what you want 5 Stars from me!

Grant and Jess went above and beyond for us, even though we were just passing through and weren't local. Meat is also amazing quality and super flavourful. Will definitely be making an effort to take the two and half hour trip to Casino again to purchase meat from them again! Highly recommend.

Up visiting our daughter from Mexico... south of the border... Victoria. Met the young 2nd year apprentice... a great asset to the butchery. Soooo beautiful, tasting meat .. full of flavour. Great range and helpful advice on how to cook different cuts. Well done, guys.

Been coming here for years and wont go anywhere else.
Smiths Quality Meats sells certified Limousin beef, tender, tasty, quality and at a pretty reasonable price. Grant and John are always happy to help with recommendations and cooking tips

Hands down the nicest guys out an they have extremely good meat!
