I was in Bundaberg and I called ahead because the caravan I purchased had two of the STR toolboxes on it. One of them had no rubber seal on the top and the two boxes inside it were very rusted. The lady said to come down and they have a couple of options available to discuss with me. So I went down to STR and met with an abrupt bloke who thought he was funny, but nevertheless I suffered his humour. I am tall, dark and black hair with a black beard. Anyway, I asked him what can be done to seal the lid to prevent further rust in the two boxes. His response was: the buyer didn't want it sealed because it was going to be used as a wet area. I don't know how he remembered that from 4 years ago. He then went into the workshop and came out with a small box of two types of rubber. Started cutting the rubber and sticking it on the toolboxes. At this point I thought he was rectifying an error (not dealing the lid). Told me to repeat what he did on the other side (which I did). Yep, a customer fixing their error. Then replaced two bolts ($1.50 type bolts), which he said was too short. All in all a 7 minute exercise (he took a call and went into his office in the middle of all this as well). Then told me to come inside and charged me $55 dollars. YEP. FIFTY FIVE DOLLARS. And said the biggest cost was his 15 minutes of labour. UNBELIEVABLE! And the worst thing? The lid still does not seal. I drove 4 hours with the van in very light rain and when I opened the lid ... full of water. Supposedly was mean to keep out 95% of water.

So don't be as trusting as I was.

STR...... shame on you!!!!!

Keep overcharging and not discussing cost and options with your customers. I'm sure you will have a very successful business with an ongoing pathetic rating. Should have checked you out before I coughed up $55.

Good service and knowledgeable staff. My Dad and I have had multiple things made through these guys including custom trays, bullbars, custom trailers and other things like aluminium boxes over the years. Quality work and a quality company.

I have never been more disappointed with service from a local business In Bundaberg. I ordered and paid for a simple cupboard 900mm x 750 mm with a center shelf and two doors. Here it is now six weeks later and after 2 returns the cupboard still remains faulty and they refuse to collect and fix it. I have returned it twice in my time so far but "they do not collect" I was told by the office, and I would have to bring it in again. I have now organised to have it fixed elsewhere at additional expense to myself. Not a happy customer and somewhere else will benefit next time.

I asked Barry for 2 under tray compartments to made went in a week later he stated that they were cut ready to weld and that he would call me when they would be fitted another 2 weeks and no phone call this is no way to run a business I will go some where else and do business

Service & products excellent. Barry, Sara & Teagan were great. Barry worked round our timetable. Teagan & Barry said we can ring if needed whilst travelling. Very pleased with this place.

Paid 12k for a canopy with a water tank and set of drawers and a couple of mesh dividers workmanship is poor rough welds and the drawer set is something I could have made in grade 9 manual arts.
