Strawberry Hill is known as being the first farm in Western Australia. Entry is free for the members of the National Trust.

The entire vast garden was completed by volunteers, which is truly remarkable. We caught the guided tour at 12:15 PM, and with the help of the volunteers, we explored the historic homestead, learning about the living conditions of that time, which was very vivid and interesting. This is a place where you can spend half a day appreciating the colourful gardens and learning about the life of the pioneers. You can also relax in the visitor centre with its large glass windows and chat with the enthusiastic and knowledgeable staff to gain a deeper understanding of the local culture.

There are also many friendly lizards in the yard and on the roof.

Amazing place so much history, the guided tour is definitely worth doing. The people who take you around and tell you about this place are so friendly and knowledgeable. This is the second time we've been there, we've loved it both times

The gardens are gorgeous. Part of the house is original which is fascinating. A must see. Best to check in person if it is actually open as the website is misleading

We had lovely weather on the day of our visit. Spring, so a lot of flowers in the garden. Had a private tour of the small cottage, which was jam packed with all sorts of donated furniture, household appliances, clothing and bric a brac from the time of the original owner onwards. Very interesting and guide knew about every single item on site.

If you are visiting Albany or live here and have never been to Strawberry Hill Farm, you are missing out on some of WAs most important history. The tour guide we had, Brian was fabulous with incredible knowledge on this place. His tour was very informative and he was very interesting to listen to. He went over and above and am sure he spent way much more time doing the tour with us than he should be. So it was great value as well. Well worth it.

Highly recommended visiting. My partner and I had a guided tour of the building by volunteer Carolyn. She was very knowledgeable and detailed. We left with a far greater understanding and appreciation of life in Albany in the 1800s.
Tickets are reasonably priced at 10$ each for adults.
