I'm very appreciative to have met them and even know of people who are this kind hearted. My father had been in Summit Care Canley Vale for about 2 years. Initially the care provided was satisfactory but there was a very obvious deterioration in the level of care, if I could even call it care, provided to my father resulting in multiple, serious ambulance trips to the hospital as well as a near death experience.

He has since been moved to another nursing home and the difference in the care provided has been night and day. I understand the issues facing the aged care industry, the impact of COVID and the staff shortages but I implore management to review the standards of care provided by staff, look into the accountability of all staff so none of our loved ones will suffer unnecessarily. My only regret was to not move my father sooner when I saw all the red flags.

From the moment my grandfather became a resident, we were greeted with warmth and professionalism. Lyn, the manager, deserves special mention for her outstanding leadership, which clearly reflects in the quality of care provided throughout the facility.

I can't thank the nursing staff enough, especially Camille and Vicky, whose expertise and compassion made a significant difference in my grandfather's life. Their dedication was evident in every interaction, providing both comfort and reassurance to our family during a difficult time.

Assistant Nurse Tai and nutritionist Jin Lee also played crucial roles in my grandfather's care journey. Their attention to detail and genuine concern for his well-being did not go unnoticed. Every staff member we encountered, from caregivers to administrative staff, demonstrated a level of professionalism and empathy that exceeded our expectations.

Summitcare truly goes above and beyond in creating a supportive and nurturing environment for its residents and their families.

I highly recommend Summitcare Canley Vale. The staff are warm, friendly and supportive and the residents are well cared for. In the case of a distressing problem with my father I found the management immediately responsive. Systems were put in place to improve the situation and there was follow up provided. I am particularly impressed by the hands on approach and sincerity of every member of the management team and their determination to make this facility the best that it can be. Nursing Homes are confronted by human difficulties every day. In my experience here these are met with sympathy, openness and a willingness to explore positive solutions.

Today my mother celebrates her 1 year anniversary of living in the SummitCare Canley Vale nursing home.

Mum has experienced so many changes since she moved from interstate, staying in a care facility for the first time, not being able to go out or see family and friends during the lockdowns, and learning to talk with me via videoconference.

It must have been really challenging for someone in her 90's if it weren't for the wonderful staff at SummitCare Canley Vale. The people there are so dedicated and passionate about looking after my mum and the other residents. They always respond to my questions and requests efficiently, and I find that they truly care about the welfare of the residents. Some staff are also multilingual, I don't need to worry about finding interpreters for mum because there are people around who can speak her language.

The other great aspects about this nursing home are: Both western and asian menus are offered (thankfully because my mother would refuse to eat if she doesn't like the food); the doctor, physiotherapist, dentist, hairdresser are accessible on site. The location is awesome, close to the train station. There are lots of fantastic restaurants and shops nearby too, so it's convenient to take mum around during her outings.
