We have spent 5 months in our Trayon and travelled 40,000km. Travelled some rough roads, setup in some tight places, on cold nights had travelling companions over to enjoy the heater and hot chocolate, taken my fishing boat to camp and fish new destinations. We bought our new Trayon Diesel Deluxe camper mounted on a Ford Ranger Super Cab last year in September 2018 and have used it on 7 different occasions so far, one being for 18 nights camping in one spot with the camper off the ute.
We have also used it several times not connected to electricity, however with the solar panels fitted on the double shower, and a lithium battery, have easily stayed out there for up to 4 or 5 nights (and could do more if needed).
We had some initial issues aligning the camper on the back of the ute but with some very useful tips and guidance from the Trayon team have been able to make this an easy and quick operation (we look forward to the soon to be released remote-controlled raising and lowering system with an individual motor per support leg).
A highlight for us was our first biennial Trayon muster last year where we met many other enthusiastic Trayon owners and were able to get lots of new ideas on slide-on camper usage.
We cannot praise the Trayon staff enough for all their useful and patient advice over emails, phone calls and face to face chats regarding the many different aspects of enjoying our Trayon camper experience.
From first contact with Trayon at a camping and caravan show, through choosing the features of our own camper, taking delivery of it and then using it to enjoy the great Australian outdoors, our Trayon slide-on camper has more than lived up to our expectations. We would highly recommend Trayon to others wanting a compact, quick setup, light-weight, outdoor camping experience without having to tow.

We purchased a Dual Wide Diesel Deluxe camper in 2017 as we wanted a set up that would allow us to travel off the beaten track and also significantly reduce the time we spent setting up and taking down our campsite as many of our stays are overnight. The Trayon fits these requirements perfectly. Last year we travelled the very isolated, and at times challenging, Munza Track in the Kimberleys.

We haven't had any issues with dust and that is usually a huge bug bear when travelling off the bitumen. .

Picked up our new Trayon 1980 Diesel Deluxe and Mazda BT 50 Freestyle about 2 weeks ago. A turn key deal with Vernon & the crew, it all went so smoothly. Every detail explained & demonstrated clearly so we knew what we where getting & how to operate it. We are still so excited. First camp at Goomburra where the heater got a good workout. The camper exceeded our expectations. Can't wait for the next camp in a couple of weeks.

Purchased ours 3 years ago second hand, it's a 1830 dual diesel delux with shower, hot water, heater, solar panel and 200ah lithium. While these are great campers they are not perfect. Nothing is. However they are a great balance with weight, functionality and comfort. The downside to these campers is that they require a fair bit of upper body strength to open and close unless you opt for a electric opening. Also getting in and out of bed can be tricky for some people who are older and less mobile or flexible. High winds and rain may be a problem if you are a sensitive sleeper as these are like a canvas rooftop tent without a hard roof.
