The guys at UMR they are extremely helpful and the mechanics are excellent at their work, Graham and his team are wonderful at what they do, and extremely knowledgeable and they will tell you straight if there is any problems with your car before they do the work with a price so you don't get any nasty surprises. I highly recommend them.

If I could rate -5 stars I would.
Would not trust umr with my push bike!

Rag left in the air intake box under airfilter
Engine cover left in the back of my car both times we collected the car. Dirty black hand print left on the inside of the car on the cream interior.
Very dishonest and arrogant.

After spending 8500 k the car was returned to me worse off then when it went in! After having my car twice for months on end was a total waste of money and worry!

Booked in for a rebuild. They said I have to wait like 6weeks or so and they never called back for my booking. It's now been a few months.

Pressure test and resurfacing of a warped alloy head.
I arrived just after the team closed the door on friday afternoon. They opened back up for me and checked in my job.
Promised to call me on monday morning.
And pleasant surprise, called me on monday mid morning to say the job was done and ready to collect.
Cost was $145 for the job ( 4 cylinder alloy head) which I was happy to pay.

Good pleasant customer experience, they've definitely won my next job!

Absolute rip off would not recommend. Tried charging me $8500 for a reconditioned motor when I called around found out there only $3900 brand new.
(Oh and did I mention they tried saying it was the crank shaft, when In fact it’s just the bearings)

Spoke to grant to collect car. Was absolutely rude on phone. Had to end conversation and call back ten mins later. Managed to get car as rolling shell. On collection day the decided to remove all wiring from engine wind windows down and roll out in the rain. Took a few days to dry all water out etc. All because I wouldn’t go thru them for the work. Very childish How they acted over this. with wouldn’t not use.

Just very rude and a bit of a rip off. Be careful when dealing with UMR Engines

UMR have done some work for me over the past few months. Grant is easy to deal with and always phones you. I got my cylinder head and block re-conditioned by these guys. I was notified of any costs before work was carried out and they have ordered parts for me quickly and posted some things also. Thanks guys for all the work you've done. I started the Mazda up on Wednesday and she went first go. Cheers

Iv read all the reviews for this business an some of them I find completely wrong!
I booked my car in with grant a UMR an so far they have done nothing but please me an my cars every need! They have good services, employees, communication, an skills to take care of every job they even offered to paint my Rocker covers on my holden L67 engine on the house that’s the sort of business iv seen. Nothing but hard work coming out of the garage an I look forward to doing business in the future. As for the price I’m a big believer in “You Get What You Pay For” pay cheap prices get cheap work! Easy as that no short cuts taken I always say! An if you want cheap unreliable work UMR is not for you.
