I'm not kidding when I say there are at least 20 large, glossy pictures of different burger combos proudly adorning the point of sale at Uncles takeaway.
You might look at that and think, "Hey, that's a bit excessive!"
Well, I don't. I look at it and think, "Hell yeah, these people must be as serious about burgers as I am!"
I'm happy to inform you that they most certainly are.
I still managed to order a burger that was not offered upon the burger shrine wall. A proper burg with the lot has beetroot, pineapple, AND a chicken patty. It tasted as good as it looks in the pic.
These place must be popular with the locals, it's damned fine. 🍔 😋

We used to come to uncles years ago when we were GC locals and loved the burgers. So decided to call in on our way through GC. We ordered the same as we used to. Hubby liked his challenger burger. The traditional burger has unfortunately changed in flavour completely. The bbq sauce is different, the patty tastes like a generic pre-made frozen patty that just needs heating, and there was more bun than filling. Not the same flavour at all which was disappointing. Don't think we'll stop in again as the old flavour of the traditional was the calling card for us.

Some of the best burgers ever, perfect takeaway chips with lots of chicken salt, perfect potato scallops, amazingly kind customer service and our food was made fresh and fast. They even have old school slush puppies 10/10 would recommend

First impressions are so important !It's getting more and more difficult to find a fish & chip shop that has great food, great service, and reasonable prices. Well, look no further. You won't be disappointed 🙂

Amazing service, the lady I spoke to was so kind and boy can she cook!

The food was next level, delicious burger, chips and potato cake so fresh and crunchy I realise how much I've been missing out on in other places.

I just ordered 4 steak sandwich meals and they were the worst I have ever had. Reading other reviews it looks as though management has changed. Everything about the sandwich was terrible. Salad was non existent. Bread was thin sandwich bread. The meat was dry and tough and thin. I dont normally take the time to write reviews but when you spend 25 dollars on a meal deal I expect something edible. Will never go back.

The carefully chosen and fresh garnishes enhance the meat without overpowering it. Everything comes together in the ideal bite because to the soft yet robust buns.
