A must-have experience for children and adults. They have so many exhibits carefully curated to display. Also, there are lots of interesting facts and information that you can read. There were activities set up for children to engage in on each level (we went during school holidays). The staff were professional, kind, and helpful - particularly with children - they were really sweet. There is so much to see and would require a whole day to cover the entire museum.

Such a lovely trip with my partner! Staff were super attentive and told us we are free to explore the entire museum (whilst it’s free all summer). Full of interactives for kids both big and small! There’s something for everyone, art, food, literature, dinosaurs and much more! Also a very cute gift shop with many cute gift ideas also there is a cafe attached, did not stop there but it looked busy so must be nice. Definitely go here whilst it’s free. Take your kids, family, partner or just venture off by yourself ☺️

Been here several times and surprisingly it's free this year (if I'm not wrong until March 2025) due to the school holiday.

It has 4 levels that serve different and unique showcases, about earth, human, sky space, animals, and more. I spent almost 4-5 hours there and non of them was boring.

It is accessible for everyone from all ages and disabilities.

Sometimes they have special exhibitions. Last time I visited the Egyptian mummy exhibition and it was cool!

We attended the museum on the whim recently, but do actually have a membership and normally plan our visits around the new exhibits and sharing with friends. Our most recent visit, a Wednesday, was a little quieter than usual and oh so fun for our little one. We really got to enjoy each exhibit and loved our time. Thank you!

We took advantage of the free entry, which is in place until March. It would be nice for the government to keep it open for free, at a minimum for locals, which is common practice elsewhere.

The museum is excellent. Plenty of interactive exhibits with a strong focus on WA history and Aboriginal culture.

The current exhibition on the Spinifex people is highly engaging, and informative. My only criticism is the Bluetooth enabled audio tour which didn’t do a great job of working out where we were in the exhibit. We all handed ours back. Reverting back to numbering an audio tour point and hitting the corresponding number on the device is simpler, and far more reliable than this current setup.

The museum cafe has some good food on offer, albeit pricey. That said, paying through the nose is to be expected at tourist venues. On the plus side, there are lots of free water refill stations, and all the staff we encountered were knowledgeable and friendly.

Definitely worth a visit, especially while entry is free.

My second visit in 3 years. No changes except on the 1st floor. Same, same good for kids and international tourists. Closed earlier than the advertised 5pm. We were nearly finished and asked to leave venue by staff. Only needed a few more minutes and we would have finished looking at the exhibits.
