I had such a great experience with Wala Repairs! He was incredibly helpful in transferring my photos from my phone to my hard drive, making the whole process so much easier for me. He also repaired my friend’s phone screen and provided her with different pricing options based on the level of repair needed, which was really considerate.

His efficiency and communication were excellent and he answered all of my queries and concerns. He kept me updated throughout the process and even let me borrow his Mac to assist with my phone transfer. Extremely Poor Service, Avoid This Repairer

I had an incredibly frustrating experience with Wala Repairs when I took my HP Envy x360 touchscreen laptop in for a cracked screen replacement. What was supposed to be a straightforward repair turned into a complete nightmare. I typically am not one to leave bad reviews, however his lack of professionalism and disregard towards his poor workmanship was enough to push me to write this. $350 is also a lot of money and I don't want someone else to loose/ waste similar amounts or more with this repair service.

Incompetent Diagnosis: During my FIRST visit, after replacing my cracked screen, the repairer failed to notice a crucial magnet sensor was missing, causing my laptop’s sleep function to stop working. He tried to tell me that this was normal and that I had to wait a minute for the sleep function to go back to how it usually was. Once we confirmed that that was obviously not the issue, he told me to come back and that he would order another screen and see if that fixes the issue. I then went home with my original old cracked screen, and recieved a message from him saying that the provider of the screen said it was a computer setting issue. Me not wanting the repairer to mess with my computer settings went online and did some research on what the issue could have been. So I did the research myself and ended up telling him how to fix it (It was due to a small magnet as mentioned above that was not transferred from my old screen to the new screen by the repairer). When I went to him the second time, he confirmed that that was infact the issue. Why am I paying a repairer only to tell him how to do his job?

Poor Quality Workmanship: Now during my second visit, the repairer attached my screen and I go home. As soon as I go home, I open the laptop and notice the screen is popped out of place. I then messaged him that the replacement screen was not properly attached, and the top part keeps detaching. His solution? For me to come back and using tape—completely unacceptable for a $350 repair.

Refusal to Provide Proof of Purchase: I asked for a receipt for the replacement screen, which he refused to provide, likely because he used a low-quality screen with excessive glare and poor visibility. I offered to pay for the cost of the screen but wanted a refund on the cost of the service, but he refused. This has now lead me to take this matter up with Consumer Protection WA, and I am waiting for a response moving forward.

Terrible Customer Service: I am in my third trimester of pregnancy, and have had to go back multiple times when I have much better things to be doing, only to be met with excuses and no proper resolution. He refused to issue a partial refund for the service portion, despite making my laptop worse than before.
To make matters worse, when I walked into his store, I overheard another angry customer demanding their device be fixed properly, proving I wasn’t the only one with a bad experience.

⚠️ Avoid this place at all costs! I now have to pay someone else to fix his mistakes. If I could give 0 stars, I would.

I will attach screenshots and photos of some of the messages, as well as the awful glare of the screen when tilted in any direction (photo does not do it justice, even at full brightness theres still an awful glare).

Mind you, where the screen detaches is not where the laptop fell. I asked him if the tiny dent in the bottom left corner of my laptop will cause an issue with how the screen attaches, and he reassured me multiple times it would not.

I took my laptop into Wala repairs around October 2024 to get the screen and the battery replaced.

They replaced the screen but found there to be a fault, so they kindly asked if they could keep my laptop in store a little longer to wait for a new replacement screen to arrive.

About 2 hours after picking up my laptop the screen started to glitch and a fault appeared again. They took the laptop back and replaced it with a different screen.

I received the laptop back and within 1 week another fault appeared down the middle of the screen.

I noticed that over time the so called “new battery” that they put into my laptop was running out of charge quite quickly and it was at the point where I had to keep my charger plugged into my laptop otherwise it would just turn off.

Fast forward to March 2025 and my laptop is now completely dead and won’t turn on or charge. That by my calculations is a total of 6 months where a so called OEM battery had failed and an OEM screen was faulty for the third time.

The parts these guys are using are most definitely cheap and illegitimate and I would definitely reccomend that you do NOT use their services as it will cost you your time and money.
