Good location and plenty of space for 3 people, with undercover parking at the door. Beds were comfortable. The room was clean although it didnt appesr to hsve been vacuumed, only mopped as there was hair on the bathroom floor. Unfortunately we had noisy neighbour's both nights in the room beside us but this is no fault of the owner. Thin walls and suspended floors just make for a noisy environment. Other than this we enjoyed our experience- it had everything we needed. I would suggest management put up a sign or notice about the bore water as it's quite a shock when turning the tap on. Some tips on how to make it drinkable/ tolerable wouldn't go astray- even for someone who grew up on borewater , the smell of the sulphur was very overwhelming. The kettle was also in need of a good clean/ descale.

These 2 weary travellers were able to get a room without a booking after a long days drive. The room had its own car park, is very clean, with great aircon and bathroom facilities. 2 beautiful brolga’s were in the undercover area at the office when we pulled in and they were very calm and happy for me to talk to them and watch them. We stayed here about 3 weeks ago and were very happy to stay again.

Great Stay at Winton Outback Motel
Clean, comfortable rooms with cozy beds and great air conditioning—perfect for the outback heat! The free Wi-Fi and BBQ grill were excellent bonuses. Friendly staff and a convenient location near the town center made our stay even better. Highly recommend!

We stayed three nights which was enough to experience all of Winton's palaeontological attractions, including the Australian Age of Dinosaurs Museum and its Dinosaur Canyon, Fossil Prep Lab, Collection Room, and Gondwana stars tour, as well as the Dinosaur Stampede National Monument and hiking in the surrounding Lark Quarry Conservation Park. Actually we could have stayed longer, and explored more of the park areas and opal country! The hotel is well set up for those on long treks; it offers coin-operated laundry, and if you walk down Elderslie Street you'll find breakfast at the Balamara Bakery, and also several other restaurants. The staff are friendly and helpful. The brolgas that hang around the front of the hotel are an added attraction, especially for children.

Great service. We couldn’t get there on time and the owners were kind enough to move our stay to when we could. Friendly service with a smile and a chat, thanks Graham and Leeanne!

Definitely the best accomodation in town - although this is a small country town a very long way from everywhere. Our room was comfortable and very clean with very good air-conditioning. It had all we needed with the addition of some plates and cutlery and good wine glasses. ||Undercover parking outside the door to our unit was a big positive as it was still quite warm during the day.|| The management and staff were all very friendly and full of helpful hints regarding things to see and do in Winton.
