— Wasn’t planning to buy anything back during our short stay in Fremantle and limited luggage space, but I immediately loved the philosophy of a wonky ceramics store when we chanced upon it the last moments in Freo. All of their creations are “perfectly imperfect and one of a kind, just like you” – would have definitely signed up for a workshop class had we more time. The shop owner is also very friendly and kind enough to have let me take some portraits of him. Love supporting local businesses such as this one.

Wonky Mugs has lots of charming hand crafted ceramic creations, we have purchased a few pieces and love them. Gav and Brian are super lovely.
Had a great experience with Gav at the private workshop where we made a mug and plate/bowl. Very beginner friendly. Our pieces all turned out so beautifully after glazing. Would love to bring our friends and family here soon. 🙂

Wow! Fantastic experience when 9 of us attended a Wonky Mugs clay session at the Freo studio in Sept 2024. Great atmosphere, Gavin (and his Dad) were so approachable, helpful and accommodating for our slightly larger group.

Was a really fun and playful session with all the available tools and know-how you need. The hand-building session really gives an opportunity to slow things down in our frantic lives and to try and get back in tune with yourself and to lose yourself in the flow of the tactile, hands on experience! Suitable for all ages and levels of experience, great way to catch up with friends while also trying our best to let go of all the imperfections in our work! Would strongly recommend!
